Why we made Kinlo
We had the photos.
We were losing the stories.
We became parents for the first time a year ago. We took so many photos and videos, but looking back, we couldn’t always remember the little stories behind them. That first year had gone by so fast.
We don’t share much on social media. We wanted a private place of our own, and a simple way to share everyday moments with grandparents far away, without asking them to install another app.
That’s why we made Kinlo: to keep the moments, and the stories that make them ours.

Can I start on my own?
Yes. You can start saving memories yourself and invite adult family members when you are ready.
Where can I download Kinlo?
Kinlo is available on the App Store for iPhone and Google Play for Android. It is designed for parents and adult family members.
Can grandparents see a story without the app?
Yes. Share a selected Memory or Milestone through a browser link so loved ones can see its photos and read its story without an app or account. Anyone with the link can view that selected story, so send it only to people you trust. You can replace or revoke the link.
How private is my family timeline?
Your timeline is limited to your family, and you choose which stories to share beyond it. Media is encrypted on your device before upload. Some information remains server-readable so features such as AI capture and browser sharing can work. Read our privacy policy.
What can I save in Kinlo?
Save Memories and Milestones with photos, videos, and written stories. Add media from your library and write the details yourself, or use optional AI voice capture to prepare a draft you can review and edit.
Do I have to use AI?
No. You can write and save memories manually. If you choose AI voice capture, Kinlo asks your permission to share your recording with Google Gemini, then prepares a draft for you to review and edit before saving.
Does Kinlo save my voice recording?
AI voice capture creates an editable written draft. Its original recording is not automatically saved as an audio attachment to the memory.
Can I export or delete my memories?
You can download your family data from Settings and request account deletion. Including stored photos, videos, and other media in your export requires Kinlo Plus. Account deletion details.
